The U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned three networks supplying missile equipment to Iran.
The U.S. Treasury Department announced that it has sanctioned three networks supplying defensive and nuclear missile equipment for Iran in the countries of Russia, Turkey, Oman, and Germany.
According to the report published on the department’s website on Wednesday, March 21, companies active in supplying items such as carbon fiber, epoxy polymer, and other equipment used in the missile construction industry and nuclear program for the Self-Sufficiency Jihad Organization of the IRGC Aerospace Force, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, and the Iranian Centrifuge Technology Company have been sanctioned.
Brian Nelson, the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, stated in this context that Iran is seeking to procure weapons systems through complex covert procurement networks by resorting to rogue actors around the world.
Under the new sanctions, the assets of these individuals and entities or companies in which more than 50% of the assets are owned by these sanctioned individuals and entities will be blocked in the United States.
