An official from the Ministry of Health and an infectious disease specialist in Iran warned that the spread of coronavirus in Iran is increasing. Infectious disease specialist Minou Mohraz told Khabar Online that since the beginning of this year, we have been dealing with coronavirus and infected patients, and most of those hospitalized are elderly and individuals with underlying conditions.
Simultaneously with these remarks, Pedram Pakayin, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, said that Iran has entered the eighth wave of coronavirus. On Tuesday, March 28, there were 13 red cities, 48 orange cities, 194 yellow cities, and 193 blue cities in the country, and the increase in the number of red cities indicates that the coronavirus statistics have risen. He mentioned that the new sub-variants of the coronavirus circulating in the country have a high transmission power.
