Vitkoff Traveled to the Gaza Strip

France announced that it has suspended its plan to accept Palestinian refugees from Gaza.

Steve Witkoff, the special representative of the Donald Trump administration for Middle East affairs, arrived in Gaza on Friday, August 1, after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to oversee the distribution of humanitarian aid and to talk with local residents.

Upon arrival, Witkoff visited a distribution center for aid in Rafah.

Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, is accompanying Witkoff on this mission.

In addition to this center, they are also scheduled to visit several other humanitarian aid foundation centers in Gaza.

Official sources emphasize that this presence is for relief purposes and is not related to Israeli military operations in Rafah.
