Vladimir Putin responds to Melania Trump’s letter about child victims of war

Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States, says that Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, has responded to her letter expressing concern about the situation of child victims of the Russia-Ukraine war.

She announced this news on Friday, stating that after establishing an open communication channel with Mr. Putin, Ukrainian children displaced by the war were returned to their families.

Donald Trump personally delivered this letter during his meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska last summer.

In this letter, Melania Trump wrote to Putin that the time has come to protect children and future generations around the world.

Earlier, Mr. Trump had shared parts of this letter on social media.

In the letter, the First Lady of the United States had requested Mr. Putin to protect children, writing that doing so would be more a service to all humanity than just to Russia.
