Volodymyr Zelensky showed that U.S. aid proves Ukraine will not become a second Afghanistan.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, in an interview with NBC television network, said that the aid package to his country, approved by the U.S. House of Representatives, sends a strong message to the Kremlin that Ukraine will not become a second Afghanistan.
On Sunday, April 22, Mr. Zelensky emphasized the importance of long-range weapons and air defense systems on the Ukrainian front and told this American network that he hopes the process of passing these bills in the Senate will accelerate so that it can be realized within the next 6 to 9 months.
He stressed that this aid gives the country a chance for victory and Kyiv will be able to defend itself against Russia.
After months of opposition to the Biden administration’s request, the U.S. House of Representatives approved several proposed aid packages, including support for Ukraine.
