Vortexa reports that the export of Iranian oil from its ports has decreased by more than 80 percent.
The oil data analytics company Vortexa announced on Thursday that following the implementation of the U.S. maritime blockade on Iran, only a few oil tankers carrying Iranian oil have exited the Sea of Oman between April 13 and April 25.
Reuters reported, citing this company, that this figure has decreased by more than 80 percent compared to the same period in March. According to London Stock Exchange data, Iran exported 234 million barrels of oil during that timeframe last month.
Vortexa wrote in an email to Reuters that at this stage, they estimate about 4 million barrels of Iranian crude oil have successfully exited the Sea of Oman. Currently, they cannot confirm whether any of those ships were later seized.
