Warning about Improper Installation of Water Pumps in Buildings

The head of the Industrial and Construction Machinery Union warned that the direct installation of water pumps in many buildings without considering technical principles has led to a 20-fold increase in water consumption, resulting in hefty bills for residents.

Mehdi Azarnia stated that installing a pump without a storage tank behind the meter exerts additional pressure on the network, which not only significantly increases consumption but also, in many cases, causes pipes to burst and inflicts serious damage to the building.

He emphasized that people should first install a water storage tank after the meter and then connect the pump to it; otherwise, they will face heavy costs, from astronomical bills to rebuilding the entire building due to infrastructural damages.
