Warning about political flaws in the Ekbatan protesters’ case
The legal platform Dadban, in a report quoting the defendants’ lawyers in the case known as the Ekbatan complex, warned that this case has fundamental and numerous flaws.
Three of these defendants, named Milad Armon, Mehdi Hosseini, and Alireza Kafaie, are accused of killing a Basij cleric and have been charged with ‘moharebeh’ (waging war against God), which can lead to the death penalty.
In its report, Dadban wrote that according to the issued indictment, these three defendants are the first to third in the case lineup charged with ‘moharebeh,’ and Mehdi Hosseini, Hossein Nemati, and another young man are also accused of participating in premeditated murder and charges including propaganda against the regime.
