Warning About Shortage of 70,000 Teachers in October

Warning about a shortage of 70,000 teachers in October

The head of the Parliament’s Research and Education Commission has warned about a shortage of 70,000 to 80,000 teachers in Iran this October.

Alireza Monadi Sefidan has cited low teaching wages and lack of motivation for teachers as reasons for the shortage of staff in education.

Monadi Sefidan, stating that the teacher shortage is a reality the education system faced last year as well, added that when we had 12 million students, we had over a million teachers, but now that many teachers are retiring all at once, significant gaps will be created.

It has been said that the teacher shortage is so serious that if it is not resolved through the proposed methods, they will have to turn to retirees.

Monadi Sefidan also criticized the recruitment system of the Farhangian University and said that unfortunately, the Administrative and Employment Organization, despite seeing many problems in this area, did not provide good solutions.

The head of the Parliament’s Research and Education Commission also stated that he has officially written a letter to Masoud Pezeshkian and warned about this crisis.
