White House: IRIB's Report on Iran-U.S. Understanding is Completely Fabricated

The White House says the IRIB report about an Iran-US agreement is completely fabricated

The White House dismissed the report published by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting about a draft agreement between Iran and the US, calling it completely fabricated.

Iran’s state television had previously claimed that a draft of an initial agreement included lifting the maritime blockade on Iran, resuming the passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz, and the withdrawal of American forces from around Iran.

According to that report, the US was committed to lifting the maritime blockade, and Iran had agreed to restore commercial ship passage to pre-tension levels within a month.

IRIB also claimed that the management of ship passage would be conducted in cooperation with Iran and Oman, and American forces would leave the region.

However, on Wednesday, the White House announced that no such agreement exists and the published report is not correct.

Donald Trump had previously stated that any potential agreement with Iran would either be excellent and meaningful or there would be no agreement at all.
