White House Spokesperson: Iran's Enrichment is Our Red Line

The White House spokesperson: Iran’s enrichment is our red line

Caroline Leavitt, the White House spokesperson, emphasized in a Monday, May 18 press briefing that the complete halt of uranium enrichment in Iran is a red line for the United States in nuclear negotiations.

In response to a journalist referencing recent statements by Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, about the continuation of uranium enrichment, Leavitt said that Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of the President, and Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, have directly told both the American public and Tehran officials that the U.S. is 100% committed to its red line of a complete halt to enrichment.
