WHO: A Thousand Women and Children Must Leave Gaza

The World Health Organization says a thousand women and children must be evacuated from Gaza

The World Health Organization says about a thousand women and children in need of medical care in Gaza should be urgently transferred to European countries.

Hans Kluge, the regional director of the World Health Organization in Europe, told the French news agency in Copenhagen that the evacuation of these individuals has been organized jointly with the European Union and some of its member countries.

Rick Piperkorn, the World Health Organization’s representative in the Palestinian territories, had previously in May spoken about the necessity of evacuating around 10,000 people from the Gaza Strip due to medical and health needs.
