Who is the Emraei gang
Who is the Emraei gang? According to Iran Gate, one of the corrupt gangs in petrochemicals and steel is the Emraei family. Amin Emraei is the director of Maroon Petrochemical, and Ali Emraei is the director of Sangun Steel. They have a close relationship with Khodamorad Ahmadi, one of the accused in the Amir Mansour Aria case and a deputy minister during Ahmadinejad’s era.
The Emraei brothers, Ali Emraei and Amin Emraei, are members of the Lurs gang. They are also supported by Khodadad Gharibpour, the former CEO of IMIDRO, and the Kharazmi Investment Company, which is why they have a strong hold in the steel industry and have taken control of the extensive mafia in this sector. The name of this corrupt gang is also present in the Mobarakeh Steel corruption case.
Amin Emraei entered the petrochemical industry with the support of the son-in-law of one of the IRGC commanders. One of the companies related to the corruption ring is CALZINC TRADING SL, registered in Spain since 2010 under the names Amir Abbas Hosseini, Alireza Rahimzadeh, and Marlize Zeilinger.
Behind the scenes are Khodadad Gharibpour, Khodamorad Ahmadi, and Ali Hemmat, the uncle of Mehdi Zahmatkesh, the CEO of South Aluminum.
Following Amin Emraei’s appointment and the increase in urea prices, various individuals became directly and indirectly involved in its trade. The Emraei brothers and the corrupt petrochemical circle, with the support of Khodadad Gharibpour and Gholamreza Tajgardoon, pursued the increase in urea prices through a company named DESPINA, registered in the UAE under a Turkish national named Mahmoud Yanik.
The management and orchestration by Hassan Tofighi, one of the main figures in Tajgardoon’s campaign in Gachsaran, have turned him into one of the most important players in the urea industry. Also, several of his relatives, named Mr. Beiranvand and Mr. Yar Ahmadi, have obtained rent through this means during this period.
The Emraei gang cases, Ali Emraei and Amin Emraei, will continue in the coming days, and we will provide more information about this corruption gang.
