Why ATMs Don't Have Cash

Why don’t ATMs have cash?

The shortage and absence of cash in ATMs, especially at the end of the year when people’s shopping increases, have created problems for the public. Seyed Ehsan Khandoozi mentioned in this regard that in the area of reports about the shortage of cash supply by ATMs, I must point out that the share of cash in economic transactions is less than 2 or 3 percent, and most transactions in the country are conducted without the need for cash because people’s economic culture has adapted to new technology, and there is little need for cash. Most people’s needs are met through the non-cash payment system. Reports about ATMs not dispensing cash have also reached the government, and the Central Bank’s plan is to help resolve this issue.
