Widespread labor strikes in various sectors of Iran’s industries

Following the expansion of labor strikes that have accelerated in recent days, the Council for Organizing Protests of Contract Oil Workers reported strikes in more than 60 contracting companies and oil workshops.

This council’s new statement was released on Monday, April 24th, while reports and videos received from Iran indicate the continuation and expansion of professional and labor protests and strikes.

These strikes, which have spread in recent days across various industrial units in Iran, continued on Tuesday as well.

The striking workers are demanding a 79% wage increase, timely payment, 20 days of work and 10 days of rest per month, insurance, improved transportation, food, health, and dormitory conditions.
