Workers' Representative in the Supreme Labor Council: Workers' Tables are Filled with Bread, Not Interviews, Numbers, and Statistics

The workers’ representative in the Supreme Labor Council says workers’ tables are filled with bread, not interviews, numbers, and statistics.

Ali Khodaei, spokesperson and representative of the workers in the Supreme Labor Council, states that the current government responds to the requests of the workers’ representatives by saying that according to labor law, wage increases occur once a year.

Besides the fact that this interpretation of the law by the government is incorrect, the preface to this response was that if the salaries of government employees are increased, then the wages of workers will also be increased. The question from the workers’ representatives to the government is, if the law does not allow the government to increase workers’ wages more than once a year, how does the government promise, contrary to the law, that if the employees’ salaries are increased, the workers’ wages will also be increased?

The Minister of Labor has repeatedly talked about his promises in these 7 months. Is the country supposed to be run on promises? Let’s not forget that ultimately workers’ tables are filled with bread, not interviews, numbers, and statistics.
