Yasmin Moghbeli had taken a Haft-Seen table to space during my trip.
Yasmin Moghbeli, an Iranian-American astronaut, wrote on her Instagram page, congratulating Nowruz, that she had taken a Haft-Seen table with her on her recent trip to the International Space Station because she thought she might be in space at the start of the year 1403.
Ms. Moghbeli, sharing a picture of her home Haft-Seen table, wrote that celebrating the Iranian New Year in space is a unique experience, but she is happy to be back home and celebrating Nowruz with her family.
In September 2023, Yasmin Moghbeli, along with three other astronauts from three different countries, embarked on a NASA mission to the International Space Station. She is the first Iranian-American astronaut to go to space professionally.
Yasmin Moghbeli and her team returned to Earth on March 12, 2024.
