Zabihollah Azami, Representative of Jiroft, Did Not Sign the Statement by 227 Representatives Regarding the Request for Execution to Suppress Protesters

Zabihullah Azimi, the representative of Jiroft, stated that he did not sign the statement by 227 representatives regarding the request for execution to suppress protesters.

Mr. Azimi recommended to the representatives and both natural and legal persons to refrain from making extrajudicial requests that might question the independence of the judiciary, and also from any actions that could allow the enemies of this nation and country to exploit and cast doubt on the independence of the judiciary.

He stated that this is why he personally has not signed any request or statement to the judiciary regarding the confrontation and execution of protesters, students, and elites in recent incidents, particularly the statement known as the 227 representatives’ statement.

This member of parliament has called for the recognition of the right to protest and the freedom of detained students and schoolchildren.
