Zahra Rahnavard, one of the leaders of the Green Movement, in a statement sent from house arrest on Thursday, December 6th, described the so-called Hijab and Chastity Law as a pseudo-law and considered it a deliberate divide and rule policy. Rahnavard stated that this law is an insult to the nation and creates an earthquake and rift in the pillars of the state and nation.

She referred to this law as a pseudo-law that is a taunt and hostile act against the transformative movement of Women, Life, Freedom. Zahra Rahnavard criticized policies that have led to unemployment, poverty, lack of housing, and the destruction of families.
