The Independence crisis continues, Ali Fathollahzadeh resigns again

Following the recent crises in Esteghlal Club, Ali Fathollahzadeh, the CEO of the club, has once again resigned, stating that he is doing this to avoid harming the Minister of Sports and Esteghlal fans.

As a result of this resignation, Hojat Karimi, the chairman of the board of directors of Esteghlal Club, will now be responsible for the management affairs.

Shortly after accepting the interim presidency of Esteghlal, he denied the claims that he had promised to provide the necessary resources to pay off the debt to former coach Andrea Stramaccioni, telling Fars News Agency that there is no truth to this matter.

Esteghlal has been expelled from the AFC Champions League due to non-payment of debt to their former Italian coach, Andrea Stramaccioni.

However, these are not the only problems for the reigning champions of the previous Iranian league season, as the team has also faced multiple financial issues and has filed complaints with the Privatization Organization.
