The Tehran prosecutor has summoned the artists, and if they do not attend, they will be arrested.
These statements were made after the presence of some female artists without mandatory hijab in recent events has become newsworthy.
The media center of the Iranian judiciary, citing Ali Salehi, the Tehran prosecutor, has stated that some of the summoned individuals have not yet appeared before the judicial authorities, and if they do not show up within the legal deadline at the courthouse, they will be apprehended.
Legal cases have been filed against some actors, including Khatayun Riahi, Panteha Bahram, Afsaneh Bayegan, Fatemeh Motamed-Aria, and Reza Kianian, due to their non-compliance with mandatory hijab. In recent days, Afsaneh Bayegan’s photos without mandatory hijab at the commemoration ceremony of Attila Pesiani have sparked controversy on social media. Bayegan had previously posted a photo of herself without a headscarf on her Instagram account.
During the commemoration ceremony of Attila Pesiani, Fatemeh Motamed-Aria, another Iranian actress, also participated without proper attire, which was not approved by the Islamic Republic.
