The head of the Airline Companies Organization has demanded a 100% increase in ticket prices.
Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhshe, the head of the Iranian Airline Organization, has stated that airline companies are demanding a 100% increase in airplane ticket prices.
The Tasnim news agency reported that in the past two years, airplane ticket prices in Iran have not increased, and now this issue is expected to be raised in the Market Regulation Headquarters.
He said that the opinion of the national airline organization has also been considered, but it does not mean a 100% increase, and we are trying to assist the airlines so that they can be managed under standard conditions and serious challenges do not arise for this industry.
Previously, reports had been published about complaints from airline companies due to unchanged flight ticket prices and warnings about the possibility of airline bankruptcies.
The increase in exchange rates, salaries, inflation, and price hikes in the aviation industry are cited as reasons for the request to increase airplane ticket prices.
