Which sin have the Qarahasanloo family committed to deserve punishment?
The Hamid and Farzaneh Qarahasanloo family has protested against the imprisonment and exile of this doctor couple by publishing a text titled ‘The Qarahasanloo Family’s Tale of Suffering’.
Hamid Qarahasanloo and Farzaneh Qarahasanloo, who were accused of being involved in the murder of a Basiji member, have been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment in exile and 5 years of imprisonment in exile, respectively, in the court of appeal.
Now, the Qarahasanloo family has announced, in a published text, the torture and physical abuse that Hamid Qarahasanloo endured during his detention, and they emphasize the innocence of the couple, asking which sin they have committed to deserve punishment.
In a part of this tale of suffering, the Qarahasanloo family states that their only crime was attending the fortieth day commemoration of a religious figure, and on their way back, they encountered a scene where a Basiji member was beaten and injured, later resulting in his death. Even the incomplete videos from the Islamic Republic’s security system confirm that the Qarahasanloo couple did not engage in any action during that incident. Now, they are being exiled to Yazd for 15 years, with the accusation of why Dr. Insandoust did not save the life of that Basiji member during the incident.
