We are concerned about the espionage by the United States against the United Nations Secretary-General.
The United Nations, referring to the leakage of some classified documents from the Pentagon, expressed its concern about reports related to the spying of American officials on the Secretary-General of the United Nations and filed an official complaint about it.
Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson for Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, said that such actions are inconsistent with the commitments of the United States.
He stated that we have officially expressed our concern about recent reports that the communications of the Secretary-General and other senior officials of the United Nations are being monitored and interfered with by the United States government to the host country. The headquarters of the United Nations is located in the United States.
Recently, the leakage of classified information from the Pentagon has made headlines, and during that, at least 50 and possibly up to 100 classified military and intelligence documents have become accessible to the public. The Pentagon has assessed the release of these classified documents as a very serious threat to the national security of this country, but has not commented on the content of the leaked documents.
