The Speaker of the Parliament has categorically denied the recent comments made by one of the members of the Parliament, stating that it is completely false that the Parliament has hindered the law regarding chastity and hijab.
Today, the Parliament has announced its readiness to address any legal gaps in the implementation of the law regarding chastity and hijab. Earlier, the Cultural Commission had presented a report on the performance of institutions in this regard, highlighting at least 32 shortcomings. At the same time, it was declared that we are ready to address any legislative void, whether it comes from the government or the judiciary, and we will prioritize it.
It is being said in the media that the Parliament has hindered the law regarding chastity and hijab.
In his statement, Falahi, the representative from Hamedan, mentioned that last night, the Supreme Leader explicitly expressed his views on the issue of chastity and hijab, which became a conclusive argument for the heads of the branches of power, and urgent and serious actions must be taken.
