Ukrainian and Russian authorities have targeted the port of Odessa with the Shahed-136 drone

Ukrainian authorities claim that Russia has targeted the port city of Odessa in southern Ukraine with Shahed-136 drones.

Ukrainian officials say that Russia has targeted the port city of Odessa in southern Ukraine in nighttime drone attacks. A local official said that most of the drones were shot down, but the rest attacked non-military infrastructure and caused fires.

No casualties have been reported and the fires have been extinguished.

Yuri Kruk, the head of the military department in the Odessa region, said in a statement on Telegram that the enemy launched a Shahed-136 drone attack on the Odessa region at night.

Ukraine has accused Russia of using Shahed-136 suicide drones to attack non-military infrastructure in the country.

Iran has stated that it provided a limited number of these drones to Russia before the Ukraine war.
