Hospital director warns about the start of a rotavirus epidemic

On Saturday, April 29th, the director of Ali Asghar Children’s Hospital announced the start of a rotavirus epidemic among children in Tehran. Farhad Choubdar, in an interview with ISNA, reported that the outbreak of diarrhea and vomiting had been predicted. He also added that he had informed the Deputy of Health and officials at the Ministry of Health about the issue. Mr. Choubdar, while confirming the start of this virus epidemic, urged families in Tehran to seek medical attention if they experience symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting, as this virus is the most severe type of viral diarrhea and vomiting.
