The Minister of Communications is seeking to attract foreign users to native messaging apps.

The Minister of Communications announced in a meeting with parliament representatives that they have plans to make native messaging apps popular among foreign users as well.

Eisa Zarapour emphasized in the meeting with parliament representatives that the bill on protecting users’ data in the virtual space has also been finalized at the Ministry of Communications and will soon be sent to the parliament after review by the government.

Zarapour mentioned in this session that the national information network, the fiber optic project, the national window for government services, the development of the aerospace industry, the development of rural communications, and support for domestic messaging apps are among the priorities of the Ministry of Communications.
