The Football Federation’s response to the statements of the Persepolis Club CEO
The Football Federation has released statements in response to the statements of the Persepolis Club CEO.
The Football Federation’s website states that as the governing body of football in the country, it has always considered itself a supporter of club teams and has defended the rights of football, with the most important being the payment of television broadcasting rights. This policy is stronger regarding Iranian teams participating in the Asian Champions League. The Federation has provided consultative opinions to clubs over the past years to remove obstacles to their participation in the Asian Champions League and has provided necessary support to our country’s representatives in Asia to have a strong presence.
Therefore, the Federation considers itself obligated to observe impartiality and enforce legal requirements, but it always maintains a supportive and national perspective towards clubs participating in Asia. In this regard, it makes efforts to increase clubs’ income through legal means, as the biggest problem for our clubs to shine in Asia is the lack of sustainable income from legal sources in world football.
