242 Workers at Alborz Industrial Town Lost Their Jobs

242 workers from the Alborz Industrial Town became unemployed

Two manufacturing companies located in the Alborz Industrial Town in Qazvin have laid off 242 workers in the past two months. 52 of these workers are disabled and were laid off from Firooz Factory after 5 to 15 years of service due to the company’s cost-cutting measures.

15 of the laid-off workers from this company are women.

Alborz Yarn Company has laid off 190 workers in two phases over the past two months.

120 workers were laid off in January and 70 workers in February. The factory managers cited reduced product sales as the reason for the layoffs.
