78-year-old woman accused of bank robbery for the third time

A 78-year-old American woman, who had previously been convicted of bank robbery twice, is facing new charges after committing another robbery in Missouri, USA. During the robbery, she handed a note to the bank teller which read, ‘I didn’t mean to scare you.’

According to the Kansas City Star, Bonnie Gooch was sent to jail on a $25,000 bond after being charged with one count of robbery or attempting to rob a financial institution during last Wednesday’s holiday.

Ms. Gooch was convicted of robbing a bank in California in 1977 and another in the suburb of Lee’s Summit in Kansas City in 2020. Her probation for the second robbery ended in November 2021.
