The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, who has traveled to Kabul, has met with Taliban government officials. The Taliban has called for an increase in trade and transit between the two countries up to $3 billion.

Today, Mr. Serik Makashyevich held talks in Kabul with Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister, and Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Taliban, as well as Afghan traders.

Amir Khan Muttaqi called for Kazakh investment in the country and stated that the level of trade between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan has increased over the past year, reaching $900 million.

He requested facilitation in issuing Kazakh visas for Afghan traders. The Kazakh delegation participated in a meeting attended by dozens of traders and investors from both sides.
