Aghdarbend Mine Workers Owed Five Months' Wages and Bonuses

The miners of Aghdarband are owed five months of wages and bonuses.

The Iranian state news agency, in a report, has addressed the difficult conditions of the Aghdarband Sarakhs miners and the non-payment of their five months’ wages and bonuses.

In this report, ILNA has interviewed Ehsan Sohrabi, who is introduced as a labor activist.

This labor activist, stating that no one is thinking about the hardworking Aghdarband miners who have worked under the toughest conditions but haven’t received their wages, says the question is whether the director general of the Khorasan Razavi Department of Cooperative, Labor, and Social Welfare or his deputy for labor relations would tolerate not receiving their salaries for two months.

These hardworking miners descend into the depths of the earth and, with minimal resources, create added value for the shareholders, but the voices of these 113 official and contractual workers go unheard from the depths of the earth. The Aghdarband mine is one of the oldest mines in the northeast of the country.
