Another Fire Incident at Girls’ Student Dormitory

The spokesperson for the Tehran Fire Department and Safety Services announced on Monday, September 3, about a fire incident at a girls’ student dormitory on Jamalzadeh Street in Tehran.

Jalal Maleki stated that the cause of the incident was a cooler catching fire on the first floor of the dormitory building and mentioned that 11 individuals present in the dormitory were evacuated safely by the firefighting forces without any injuries.

Maleki further added that units from two stations were dispatched to the scene and managed to control the fire, which occurred on the first floor of this private student dormitory. The dormitory had 60 rooms, with 10 rooms on the first floor, and each room housed 4 residents.

The spokesperson for the Tehran Fire Department also emphasized the need for oversight of educational complexes, given the season of school and university openings in Iran.

Previously, on the evening of Friday, August 31, another girls’ dormitory on Keshavarz Boulevard in Tehran fell victim to a fire, resulting in one injury.
