The aviation organization states that we need 550 airplanes, but there are only 170 active ones.
The Civil Aviation Organization has attributed the shortage and scarcity of airplane tickets to the imbalance between supply and demand, stating that sanctions have restricted the air fleet to the extent that, based on demand, we need 550 airplanes, but currently, there are only 170 active ones.
The aviation organization also mentioned that the shortage of airplane tickets is not a new issue, stating that one of the reasons for this is the high demand and increased interest in air travel, as well as the cost-effectiveness of these journeys.
This organization also commented on the increase in flight ticket prices, stating that the price of airplane tickets is still based on the approved rates of the year 1400 (Iranian calendar) and that without the decision of the Civil Aviation Organization and the Market Regulation Headquarters, airlines are not allowed to sell at higher prices, and prices are subject to laws and regulations.
