Three protesters were killed in Divandarreh, Kurdistan
On Saturday, November 19, the city of Divandarreh in Kurdistan province was the scene of demonstrations by hundreds of people, which were met with violent suppression by the security and law enforcement forces of the Islamic Republic. Government forces shot and killed three people who had taken to the streets.
Divandarreh, near the city of Sanandaj, is one of the places where protests have intensified in recent days. Several villages around Sanandaj and some other cities in this province have also joined the protests in recent days. This is while such protests have been rare in rural areas in the past.
