Repressions and Death Sentences in Iran are a Great Favor to Saudi Arabia

Repressions and execution sentences in Iran are a great favor to Saudi Arabia.

One of the beneficiaries of the recent harsh repressions in Iran has been Saudi Arabia. While Iran, like countries such as China and Saudi Arabia, has been heavily criticized internationally for issuing and carrying out execution sentences for various crimes over the years, the sentences issued in Saudi Arabia and the manner of their execution have been extremely unfavorable and horrifying.

The widespread public protests in Iran, the tragic and innocent death of Mahsa Amini, and now documented reports of the killing of dozens of innocent children during the protests have caused specific events in the Middle East, and in particular various cases of human rights violations and inappropriate behaviors of Middle Eastern governments, to be sidelined.

Recently, Saudi Arabia has executed twelve individuals accused of drug trafficking with a sword. Saudi judicial and religious authorities have no exceptions or considerations in issuing and executing death sentences and usually easily execute citizens of other countries as well. In the recent series of executions, citizens of Syria, Jordan, and Pakistan were also included. The number of executions carried out in Saudi Arabia, which human rights activists have managed to document, has reached 132, and the actual number is naturally beyond these figures.
