Iran's State Newspaper Calls CNN Report on Sexual Abuse of Protesters Unrealistic

The Iranian state newspaper called CNN’s report on the sexual abuse of protesters unrealistic.

The Iranian state newspaper today reacted to CNN’s report on violence and sexual abuse in Iranian detention centers, stating that this report is based on vague and unrealistic information and does not provide any evidence.

In today’s issue, the Iran newspaper wrote with the headline ‘CNN on the Wave of Fake News’ that the individuals mentioned in the report are unidentified and cannot be pursued. In cases where some names are mentioned, no information is given about what is stated in the report’s title, namely sexual assault, and if there is a mention, it is still the speculation of the authors.

The government-affiliated newspaper, referring to Trump’s remarks, considers CNN’s reports biased and a distortion of reality.

CNN, citing the testimony of some released detainees or hospital sources, has announced that young women and teenage girls and boys have been raped in prisons.
