Akram Khodabandeh, the Iranian Taekwondo athlete, bid farewell to the national team.

Akram Khodabandeh, the Iranian Taekwondo athlete, after 12 years, said goodbye to the national team and joined the athletes who are withdrawing from the national team due to the Iranian government’s violence against protesters.

Ms. Khodabandeh wrote in her Instagram post that this farewell is in honor of the grieving hearts of the people.

She had previously criticized the Iranian government’s violence against protesters in her Instagram stories.

Once, in her Instagram story, Akram Khodabandeh compared the statements of the Iranian government spokesperson, who had said that they could have easily shot the protesters with live bullets but didn’t, to the words of the Nazi German army spokesperson.
