Majid Reza Rahnavard was executed
In the early hours of Monday, December 12, Majid Reza Rahnavard, one of those arrested during the recent events in Mashhad, was executed.
Majid Reza Rahnavard was hanged in public in Mashhad, an action that took place only 23 days after his arrest.
The Judiciary of the Islamic Republic charged Majid Reza Rahnavard with attacking Basij forces with a cold weapon on Har Ameli Street in Mashhad, including Hossein Zeinalzadeh and Danial Rezazadeh, two Basij members who were killed during the recent protests.
Majid Reza Rahnavard was arrested on November 19, two days after the killing of these two Basij members, and five days later, the prosecutor of Mashhad announced that an indictment had been issued against him and that he was accused of ‘moharebeh’ (waging war against God).
