Professors Ragheb and Zilani were suspended
According to some professors at Shahid Beheshti University, Negar Zilabi, an assistant professor in the Department of History and Civilization of Islamic Nations at the Faculty of Theology, and Dr. Mohammad Ragheb, an assistant professor of Persian Language and Literature at this university, have been banned from entering the campus.
Dr. Ragheb reported that he was suspended for supporting students, but at the end of his message, he mentioned that he has not yet received any official order regarding the entry ban.
He stated in a post on his Instagram page that due to not attending classes in protest of the situation on the streets and at the university, and participating in a student gathering with other colleagues, he was removed from his position without any official announcement from the head of the International Center for Teaching Persian to Speakers of Other Languages (AZFA) and the head of the Shahid Ravaqi Research Center. His access to the university’s dashboard, email, and Golestan system was blocked.
Also, before attending the university’s preliminary disciplinary board and the announcement of the decision, his faculty status was suspended, and his monthly salary was cut off. Interestingly, it seems he also has to return the salary for the month of Mehr (October).
