The Asara Tulip Festival was closed due to hijab issues.
The Asara Tulip Festival was closed by order of the Karaj prosecutor due to mandatory hijab issues.
According to ISNA, Ali Akbar Pahlevani, the manager of the Asara Tulip Garden, stated that he apologizes for the norm-breaking that occurred at this festival and will try to ensure the continuation of this festival without negative consequences.
Mr. Pahlevani mentioned that during this period, nearly 30,000 people visited the Asara Tulip Garden daily, and there might have been a few instances of norm-breaking. If the garden reopens, efforts will be made to prevent such occurrences.
In recent days, a large number of commercial, recreational, and tourist centers in various cities of Iran have been closed by the police and judicial authorities because women did not comply with the mandatory hijab. Yesterday, the inspection and oversight manager of Isfahan’s guilds reported that 69 shops in Isfahan were sealed due to warnings about non-compliance with the hijab.
