Hossein Shariatmadari: Non-participation in elections is tantamount to siding with the enemy

Hossein Shariatmadari said not participating in the elections is tantamount to siding with the enemy.

The managing editor of Kayhan newspaper stated clearly that boycotting the ballot box and not participating in the elections is aligning with the enemy and against the revolution. An enemy that has mobilized all its power to prevent people from participating in the elections.

Shariatmadari added that currently, the number of qualified candidates exceeds 15,000, meaning there are around fifty-one candidates for each parliamentary seat from all parties and groups. So, there is space, but candidates should not be afraid of not receiving votes.

He further stated that boycotting the ballot box and not participating in the elections is aligning with the enemy and against the revolution. An enemy that has mobilized all its power to prevent people from participating in the elections and uses various excuses to achieve its goals. Therefore, not participating in the elections, as General Soleimani said, is opening the way for the enemy.
