The spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the seized ship in the Strait of Hormuz belongs to Israel.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson has said in recent days regarding the seizure of a ship by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz that Iran naturally pays attention to all movements in the strategic Hormuz Strait within the framework of safeguarding its national interests and prevents any violation of its sovereignty in this area.
The Emirati ship, the ‘Aryas,’ flying the flag of Portugal, was seized by the IRGC forces in the Strait of Hormuz on April 13 and directed towards Iranian waters.
According to ISNA, Naser Kanaani stated in his press conference on Tuesday, April 27, that based on the information available to him, the ownership of this ship belongs to Israel.
The spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that due to the violation of international regulations by this ship and the lack of adequate response to the raised questions by relevant Iranian authorities, the ship has been directed into Iranian territorial waters for inspection. The matter will be reviewed by legal and judicial authorities, and a decision will be made accordingly after the assessments.
