The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society announced that the number of deceased Iranian pilgrims in the Hajj ceremony has reached 11.

An Iranian official has stated that the number of deceased Iranian pilgrims in this year’s Hajj ceremony has reached 11 by the end of Tuesday, June 18.

Pir-Hossein Kolivand, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, mentioned that some of these individuals had underlying illnesses, while others lost their lives due to heatstroke.

The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society stated that if the survivors of these individuals wish, the bodies of the pilgrims can be transferred to Iran, and if they request burial in Saudi Arabia, it is possible.

Mr. Kolivand has announced that the number of pilgrims hospitalized is 26.
