Araqchi Emphasizes to Cypriot Counterpart on Preventing the Use of Cyprus Bases Against Iran

Araqchi, in a conversation with his Cypriot counterpart, emphasized preventing the use of the country’s bases against Iran.

The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic and Cyprus consulted in a phone call about bilateral relations and regional developments.

In this conversation, Abbas Araqchi stressed the need to prevent any hostile forces from using foreign bases located in Cyprus against Iran.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Konstantinos Kombos, the Cypriot Foreign Minister, also stated that his country has ensured through contact with the British government that foreign bases located in Cyprus will not be used against any country, including Iran.
