Bank Melli Denies Billionaire Account of Abbas Ali Soleimani

Following the spread of news on social media, Bank Melli Mazandaran on Thursday denied that Abbas Ali Soleimani, a member of the Assembly of Experts who was killed in Babolsar on Wednesday, May 6, had 420 billion tomans in his bank account.

On Thursday, May 7, Tasnim News Agency reported that the manager of the Bank Melli Mazandaran branch declared Soleimani’s account balance as a minor amount and stated that he had visited the bank to transfer 4 million and 200 thousand tomans.

Abbas Ali Soleimani, a member of the Assembly of Experts and a representative of the fourth and fifth terms of the parliament, was shot and killed by an individual identified as a bank guard in one of the banks in Babolsar on Wednesday morning.
