Budget for Insurance of Women Heads of Households Removed

The budget for insurance of women heads of households was eliminated.

The government quietly removed the budget line for employment and insurance of women heads of households.

The only share women now have from the public budget is zero to one percent of the executive agencies’ expenses.

However, the budget for Ensieh Khazali and her colleagues in the Women’s Affairs Vice Presidency has increased.

Fatemeh Ghasempour, head of the Women’s and Family Faction in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, announced the removal of the independent budget line for women heads of households in the 2023 budget bill.
