Details of the video showing a woman falling from a guidance patrol van in Gilan: The woman was not thrown, she was hanging and fell.
Following the widespread release of a video showing a woman falling from a police van in Sabzeh Meydan, Rasht, the deputy police chief of Gilan claimed that due to a complaint from a citizen regarding the other party’s misuse of a recent traffic accident and an attempt to extort from him, the matter was put under investigation by the 22nd precinct’s patrol unit in Rasht.
The suspect in this case, who was not in a normal state, attempted to engage in conflict and escape from the officers using obscene language when confronted by the police. The officers present at the scene, after coordination, proceeded to arrest the individual.
Given the clear violation by the arrested suspect and the presence of a private complainant, the police were obliged to arrest and transfer the suspect to the police station for further investigation, and opposition or insistence from others is not a reason to not enforce the law.
Upon reviewing the evidence and footage from cameras at the scene, it is clear that the woman in question was hanging from the window of the moving police vehicle, and the claim that she was thrown from the moral security patrol vehicle is completely false.
