Donya-e-Eqtesad Newspaper: Iran Khodro and Saipa Are Just One Step Away from Bankruptcy

The newspaper Donya-e-Eqtesad: Iran Khodro and Saipa are just one step away from bankruptcy

The newspaper Donya-e-Eqtesad wrote that according to the financial statements of automakers ending on March 20, they have collectively recorded accumulated losses of about 130 trillion tomans.

This figure pertains only to the three parent companies Iran Khodro, Saipa, and Pars Khodro, and if we consider the consolidated losses of the entire group, the amount would be much higher.

Automakers also have about 244 trillion tomans in debt, which belongs solely to the parent companies.

Among the automakers, Iran Khodro has the highest accumulated loss, approximately 75 trillion tomans, showing a growth of about 74% compared to the year 2021.

Compared to the year 2021, the accumulated loss of Iran Khodro shows a growth of about 74%.

The registered capital of Iran Khodro in the stock exchange is slightly over 30 trillion tomans, so their accumulated loss has exceeded twice this capital.

For this reason, Iran Khodro is on the path to bankruptcy.
